Headline Secretary-General Addresses Press Conference ahead of High-level Week at UN 
Caption Description Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (top left) addresses a press conference ahead of the annual high-level week at the United Nations, which this year includes a Summit for Refugees and Migrants on 19 September, as well as the seventy-first general debate of the General Assembly, from 20 to 26 September. In his opening statement to journalists, the Secretary-General especially drew attention to three critical challenges: shared global responsibility for the world’s refugees and migrants; a push for the early entry into force of the Paris Agreement on climate change before the end of the year; and the worsening war in Syria, which, among all the conflicts in the world, has been causing the most death, destruction and widespread instability.
The press conference was moderated by Stéphane Dujarric (top right), Spokesperson for the Secretary-General.
