Caption Description
The Conference of the Eighteen-Nation Committee on Disarmament today held its 325th plenary meeting in the Palais des Nations, Geneva, under the Chairmanship of Ambassador Kroum Christov, Representative of Bulgaria. Statements were made by the Representatives of the United States, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Canada, Sweden, India and Mexico. The United States Delegation tabled the text of the draft Treaty on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. The United States Delegation transmitted a statement by President Lyndon B. Johnson dated 24 August 1967.
Mr. William C. Foster (left) of the United States and Mr. A.A. Roschin (Soviet Union) holding respective texts of the draft Treaty which they submitted to the Conference are seen conversing at the conclusion of the meeting.
